Delusional Circumferential Parallelism

Have you forgotten to live
while chasing a life that is not yours?
Though knowing the illusion is deceptive,
you habitually search the horizon,
while the radiance of celestial bodies blinds.

Have you forgotten Nature’s laws?
It appears to be a meeting, but
the sky and land will never shake hands.
What are you, then, searching for?
The horizon charms deluded eyes,
tempting their gaze into submission,
as your lifespan decreases by the day.
Do you recognize this deceitful caress?
Perfect harmony.
Permanent separation.

  1. ur trying to be so deep that no one will understand and will say, oh wow she’s so deep
    LOL
but its actually pretty good, yaar, im impressed :)

  2. maybe the illusion of the handshake between the sky and the land is enough to charm the viewer into spending an eternity looking at it, rather then living the life that he’s been given..? sometimes illusions are enough and when they are, who’s to say its an illusion..? one can make an illusion one’s own reality. it’s all relative, y’see?

  3. ‘deceitful caress’ indeed. but, it’s SO hard not to chase when some things *seem* so real. but yes, it’s all an illusion.

you’re an artist on the inside ;) (do u remember that from medinah?! heeh)
